White cranes, lotus flowers and waves above whitish trees on a yellow-beige grained background: in ‘One Million Views’ you can always discover something new by looking closely. The symbols, which can be interpreted in a variety of ways, allow you to adopt a different perspective each time you look at the meditative work and to realign your view of the painting again and again.

The yellow grained Daphne paper was the only one in this colour that Evi Schartner was able to find in the stock of a paper dealer in Stuttgart, who bought it directly from a small artisan manufacturer in Asia. The finished masterpiece ‘One Million Views’, with its expressive yellow hue, is one of a kind.
