Original “One Million Views” Blue on Handcrafted Daphne Paper, White Frame, 2023

Golden cranes, lotus flowers and waves above whitish trees on a turquoise-blue veined background: in ‘One Million Views’ you can always discover something new by taking a closer look. The symbols, which can be interpreted in a variety of ways, allow you to adopt a different perspective each time you look at the meditative work and to realign your view of the painting again and again.

The turquoise-blue grained Daphne paper was the only one in this colour that Evi Schartner was able to find in the stock of a paper dealer in Stuttgart, who bought it directly from a small artisan manufacturer in Asia. The result is that ‘One Million Views’ in turquoise is a unique masterpiece.
